Grithos "Gritty" Thunderloins
Reclusive wanderers and omen-readers of the wild, they tend to stick to themselves and avoid conflict unless hard pressed.
Ability Score Increase: Str +2; +1 Wis or +1 to Dex
Age: Centaurs have a slightly longer life span then humans. They continue to grow well into their twenties and don’t hit adult hood until their mid-thirties. Some centaurs can live to be 130 years old.
Alignment: They roam the vast wilderness, generally keeping far from borders, laws, and the company of others. Centaurs tend to be neutral good.
Size: Your size is large.
Speed: Your base land speed is 35 feet. At 4th Level this increases to 40 feet, 45 feet at 8th level, and 50 feet at 12th level.
Oversized Weapons: Weapons you wield are one die category larger.
Weapon Proficiency: You are proficient with the pike and longbow.
Broad as a Barn: Centaurs have -1 to AC due to your large size. You have disadvantage to stealth checks unless in a wooded, forest, or area of natural terrain. If you are in a corridor no larger than 5 feet wide, you gave disadvantage on melee attacks and attack rolls have advantage against you.
Hooves: Centaurs can make a hoof attack as an attack action: Str or Dex + Prof bonus to deal 1d4 + Str or Dex mod bludgeoning damage. Your hooves damage dice increases to 1d6 at 5th level, 1d8 at 11th level, and 1d10 at 17th level. At 3rd level you can make a second hoof attack as a bonus action but do not add your ability mod to this damage roll. At 7th level you add your ability mod to the damage roll of the second hoof attack.
